Me, of course! Duh! Tall, thin, Husky-Saluki mix, orange and white, with a long nose and a gigantic heart. What could be better than that?!
Well, of course there is one kind of dog that can be better than me. YOUR dog! Or even if it’s not yours, maybe it’s your friend’s dog or your neighbor’s. But it’s the dog in your heart. The dog who is crazy about you, and you’re crazy about him or her. That will always be the best dog in the world.
It’s just like that guy I live with. I don’t know what other people might think of him, and I don’t care. To me he’s the handsomest, smartest, greatest human on the planet. And he thinks and feels just the same way about me.
And that’s exactly the way it should be.
